The backend can score and enrich draft course ideas without an API. It fills buyer triggers, add-ons, search language, local pattern benchmarks, differentiators, channel path, and price fit before deciding whether a pack can move to lab production.

API research should run only when the receipt says `optional_api_research_recommended` or `api_required_before_launch`. Draft production should stay local unless the idea needs current outside proof.
